Body
The body, given the opportunity, can heal itself.
This is one of the most important principles of holistic healing.
To give the body this opportunity is really a personal choice. It consists of elements which
allow healing and regeneration to occur, such as healthy nutrition, fresh air,
sunshine, adequate exercise and making time for deep relaxation.
Other elements include aspects of mind and spirit, such as having a positive mental attitude and an awareness of your sense of self or the purpose in your life. These aspects are all deeply inter-related. The body is affected by thoughts, emotions and aspects of the self which are connected with spirit and may be unconscious. The mind, emotions and spirit are also affected by what is happening to the body. Therefore, in order to create and sustain good health, the whole person be must taken into consideration.
