Emotional Stress
In times of stress, a common reaction is 'fight or flight'. This is the way we have learned to survive. In today's terms, it often means anger or fear or other emotional reaction based on our past experiences. It is helpful when we want to get out of the way of a car in the road, but not when we're communicating with our boss or family, or trying to work a way through a problem only to find our thoughts or feelings taking us round in circles.
It is known that frontal brain activity is reduced under stress, so our mental evaluations are not always reliable when we are feeling this way. What is interesting is that the brain does not distinguish between 'real' and imagined events when we re-act to a situation. Therefore it all depends on our perception of it. What we might think of as stressful may not actually be so, if only our perception of the situation could change.
Emotional Freedom Techniques
Fortunately, Emotional Stress Release through Kinesiology can help to change how you view a situation. Kinesiology works gently with the acupuncture system to release the pressure that negative thoughts and feelings can exert, in a totally safe way. It allows your view of a problem the chance to broaden and transform into something new which gives you more options. Stuck feelings can clear, tension can be relieved and the body is better able to relax and literally lighten up. Often new solutions and perspectives spring to mind and you can't imagine why they never occurred to you before.
During the session, we will focus on your specific problem area and typical emotional reaction. Treatment is gentle and consists of talking through your issues whilst working non-invasively with the body's energy system. You are free to sit or lie down as you wish, and you remain fully clothed.
Self Help Tools for Emotional Health
You will be taught a powerful self help technique to take home with you to enable you to release stressful feelings whenever they occur.
Emotional Balancing
For deeper issues such as fears, phobias, confidence issues, guilt, shame or obsession, Emotional Balancing can be used to eliminate or lessen the negative effects these can have on your feelings of well being. Meridian balancing techniques are used to access the acupuncture energy system. Points are held, gently massaged or tapped to help break old emotional patterns, in a similar way to Emotional Freedom Technique.
The benefit of Emotional Balancing is that Kinesiology can be used to quickly check which meridians are involved which can differ from person to person. Typical protocols commonly used in other emotional freedom therapies don't work in the same way for everyone. The individualised approach that Kinesiology can bring works in complete harmony with your body's own healing capacity and can make a huge difference to the way you feel.
