Stress
In times of stress, a common reaction is 'fight or flight'. This is the way we have learned to survive. In today's terms, it often means anger or fear or other emotional reaction based on our past experiences. It is helpful when we want to get out of the way of a car in the road, but not when we're communicating with our boss or family, or trying to work a way through a problem only to find our feelings taking us round in circles.
It is known that frontal brain activity is reduced under stress, so our mental evaluations are not always reliable when we are feeling this way. What is interesting is that the brain does not distinguish between 'real' and imagined events when we re-act to a situation. Therefore it all depends on our perception of it. What we might think of as stressful may not actually be so, if only our perception of the situation could change...
Emotional Stress Release
Fortunately, it can: a session of Emotional Stress Release helps to open the 'pressure valve' that is holding in those same old thoughts and feelings, in a totally safe way, which then allows your view of a problem the chance to expand and transform. Stuck feelings clear, tension lifts and the body is better able to relax and lighten. Often new solutions and perspectives spring to mind and you can't imagine why they never occurred to you before. New possibilities open up.
During the session, we will focus on your specific problem area and typical emotional reaction. Treatment is gentle and consists of working with the acupuncure meridian system, through holding specific points on the head and body. You are free to sit or lie down as you wish, and you remain fully clothed.
Self Help Tools
You will be taught a powerful self help technique to take home with you to enable you to release stressful feelings whenever they occur.
Emotional Balancing
For deeper issues such as fears, phobias, confidence issues, guilt, shame or obsession, Emotional Balancing can be used to eliminate or lessen the negative effects these can have on well being. Meridian balancing techniques are used to access the acupuncture energy system. Points are held, gently massaged or tapped to help break old emotional patterns, in a similar way to Emotional Freedom Technique.
The advantage of Emotional Balancing to EFT is that Kinesiology bio-feedback can be used to check the precise points and meridians to work on for each person, as one size most certainly doesn't fit all and may not work for all.
